Maps and globes are pretty cool. Lots of people like maps, I think because they are little pictures of the world.

There was a lady called Beryl Markham who liked maps and kept them to remind herself of where she had been. Maybe you can Google her name and find out why she liked maps. I like maps for the same reasons too and have some of different places.

I wrote the story too. The names on the map are a bit odd sounding when you say them out loud. Mr Upton can probably tell you where the country is. A big city nearby is called Berlin. Maybe you can look on Atlas to find it.
